Carlton Talley

Carlton created Earthmover/Mining Tire Training & Consulting to share his considerable experience in the earthmover/mining industry. A MSHA Certified Trainer with over 12 years of industry experience, he is passionate about the education of new hires and customers. He is ready to help you optimize your business through tire education and training.

After spending three years as a truck tire salesman at Michelin, Carlton was promoted to Earthmover Sales Manager in 2013. In his sales career, he grew business by 20 percent each year and won Global ESM of the year for 2016. After completing MSHA training and becoming Michelin’s MSHA trainer for the West, he was promoted to North American Earthmover Sales training and development manager. In this role, he focused on:

  • New hire and advance training

  • Improvement and maintenance of the Michelin MSHA training plan

  • Field visits for training and evaluation of new and seasoned earthmover sales managers

  • Hosting corporate visits, tours, and customer training

Over the course of his career, Carlton had the opportunity to complete field engineer courses for mining and agricultural tires in Clermont-Ferrand, France. He also was responsible for creating virtual training and educational content as well and conducted MSHA Annual Refreshers during COVID. Carlton took early retirement from Michelin in November 2022 to focus on his own business, Earthmover/Mining Tire Training & Consulting.
